*Second Bernoulli Prize for Outstanding Survey Articles in Probability 
The paper “Gaussian multiplicative chaos and applications: A review” by Remi Rhodes (https://goo.gl/WwNeC3) and Vincent Vargas (https://goo.gl/q7zyLh), published in Probability Surveys (2014, Vol 11, pp315-392) has been awarded the Second Bernoulli Prize for Outstanding Survey Articles in Probability. The prize committee was chaired by Erwin Bolthausen. Combined with Bernoulli Prize for Outstanding Survey Articles in Statistics, the prizes are awarded every two years alternately. The prize in probability was supposed to be awarded at the Bernoulli World Congress, Toronto in 2016, but the decision has been delayed.  *Call for nominations for the 2018 Doeblin Prize            
The Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability welcomes nominations for the 2018 Wolfgang Doeblin Prize. The Wolfgang Doeblin Prize, which was founded in 2011 and is generously sponsored by Springer, is awarded biannually to a single individual who is in the beginning of his or her mathematical career, for outstanding research in the field of probability theory.  The awardee will be invited to submit to the journal Probability Theory and Related Fields a paper for publication as the Wolfgang Doeblin Prize Article, and will also be invited to present the Doeblin Prize Lecture at a World Congress of the Bernoulli Society, or at a Conference on Stochastic Processes and their Applications.  More information about the Wolfgang Doeblin prize and past awardees can be viewed at https://goo.gl/hcBPWQ

Eight nominations have been received to fill the eight vacancies on the European Regional Committee (ERC) of the Bernoulli Society. According to the ERC statutes, any group of at least five European members of the Bernoulli Society is entitled to nominate further candidates who have declared themselves willing to serve on the Committee. * Call for Nominations for the Newbold Prize

The Newbold Prize Committee invites nominations for the Ethel Newbold Prize. The Ethel Newbold Prize for excellence in statistics is awarded every 2 years, next time in spring 2017. The name of the prize recognizes a historically important role of women in statistics. The prize itself is for excellence in statistics without reference to the gender of the recipient. The Ethel Newbold Prize is generously supported by Wiley.

The Ethel Newbold Prize is to be awarded to an outstanding statistical scientist for a body of work that represents excellence in research in mathematical statistics and/or excellence in research that links developments in a substantive field to new advances in statistics.

The prize will be awarded at a following Bernoulli World Congress, Bernoulli-sponsored major conference, or ISI World Statistics Congress. The awardee will also be invited to present a talk at one of these conferences.

* The 10th IMS-BS World Congress will be in South Korea

The venue and the dates for the 10th IMS-BS World Congress in Probability and Statistics are now determined. It will be held in Seoul National University, South Korea, on August 17-21, 2020.

The congress is the latest in a series organized jointly by the Bernoulli Society and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. Held every four years, the Congress is a worldwide event covering all branches of statistics and probability. This includes theoretical, methodological, applied and computational statistics and probability, as well as stochastic processes. The latest scientific developments in all of these fields are showcased.

Previous congresses have been held in Toronto (2016), Istanbul (2012), Singapore (2008), Barcelona (2004), Guanajuato (2000), Vienna (1996), Chapel Hill (1994), Uppsala (1990), and Tashkent (1986).

* XIV Latin American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics, San José, Costa Rica, December 05-09

The Latin American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics is the main event in probability and statistics in the region, having been held roughly every two or three years for almost 30 years. It is organized under the auspices of the Bernoulli Society for Mathematical Statistics and Probability and the Latin-American Society on Probability and Mathematical Statistics. The series of CLAPEMs has greatly contributed to the development of probability and statistics in Latin America by promoting regional cooperation, increasing the scholarly level of the research work in the region, facilitating the collaboration between Latin American researchers and colleagues from the rest of the world.
